Fellow Metroplex enthusiasts of the rock and roll music: check the upcoming performance calendars of your favorite local establishments. Some great shows coming up in the next few weeks, including Spoon, Luna, Blackalicious, Sleater-Kinney, Wilco, Interpol, Doves, Girls Against Boys, and DJ Shadow.
If anyone’s interested in going to the Spoon show in Denton with me tomorrow night, let me know. What better way to ring in Sept. 11 than with the rock?
Not to mention Queens of the Stone Age on the 29th, I believe.
What time is the show?
I'll go to the DJ Shadow show with you -
Julie: Doors at 10, two opening acts before Spoon. The first one I've never heard of; the second (John Vanderslice) I'd like to see. So, warning, it'll probably be a late night. Let me know if you're up for it.
Karen: Rock on. See you Oct. 2.
I was all set to jump on the bandwagon and go with you. Then two people in my office got fired. So not only am I on edge, but I'm working late to make up their work. One guess what I'd rather be doing.
I'd be there in a heartbeat if it weren't for the price of airline tickets! I'm seeing them next week here in Toronto!
