This morning, I saw something I never thought I would:
Two grown adults arguing — powerfully! — over who would have the opportunity to buy a Ringo Starr album.

When I lived in Austin I had an older friend. She was a fun, hippie-type woman who grew up in the 60's. Our creepy sales guy was always trying to ask her out. Working at desperate attempts to impress her with how "hip" he was. Now this bloke - I got the idea he had a flattop and marched for Nixon in the 60's. Any way, he bought tickets to a Ringo Starr show and tried to get her to go with him. A sad move designed to try and show her his "counterculture" side. After that, an even sadder attempt. He invited he to go see Mickey Dolenz. Yes, of The Monkeys. Not even the Monkeys, mind you - but Mickey solo. He just really freaked her out more than anything.
