Until last night, I would have sworn that Raising Arizona starred River Phoenix. A simple geographic misunderstanding.

Strangely, I never thought My Own Private Idaho starred Boise De Legge.

Did you watch Raising Arizona last night? That's one of my all-time favourite comedies. "Do these blow up into funny shapes at all?" "Well, no, unless round is funny."

So, so funny. My favorite scene? The prison exchange between Hi and his gustatorily reflective cellmate:

"And when there was no meat, we ate fowl. And when there was no fowl, we ate crawdad. And when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand."

"You ate what?"

"We ate sand."

"You ate sand?!"

"That's right..."

I did indeed watch Raising Arizona last night. Very funny. (Although I admit anger toward any movie that claims that "crawdads," better known as crawfish, are anything less than the finest food known to man.)
