I’ll be in Denver from July 11 to 16 for a conference and a little R&R. If there are any Coloradan crabwalk.com readers in the hizzouse, the first beer’s on me. And any advice on fun things to do in Denver would be appreciated. (Note: I don’t need any advice on things to do in Denver when you’re dead.) I’m thinking of climbing one of the easier fourteeners.
Yo! That's me.
Oh! Oh! Me!
define 'easy'!
well, on the 15th - yes all on one night! - you can see the raveonettes, the pernice bros., warren zanes, the jayhawks and the thorns! stick around for an extra day or two and you can add m. ward, x, rhett miller, and camper van beethoven! AND, if you come back to denver on the 26th, you can help me celebrate my birthday at the detroit cobras show - and that goes for any other CO crabwalkers out there; i'll be looking for you on the 26th!
can also help you out with lots of restaurant tips, and i work in the coolest hotel downtown, so just let me know what you need...
And if that's not enough for you on the 15th, head up to Boulder, where you can catch original Jayhawk Mark Olsen with Victoria Williams...
wow - gary louris in denver and mark olsen in boulder, with the two cities only half an hour or so apart; do you think maybe....would they?......
just got back from the mile-high city myself. for good eats, check out vesta dipping grill in LoDo (lower downtown). it's within walking distance of coors field, if america's pastime is your thing. also, don't miss the tattered cover bookstore by cherry creek mall. enjoy!
