Not just sleazy, it's reprehensible. Gossip columnists can write all the celebrity bullshit they want, but reporting on Pearl's widow's alleged new love life is just disgusting. I'd expect that kind of crap from Page Six, but the Washington Post?

The relationship, not the reporting. Like it or not, if the head of CNN is having an extramarital affair with someone the network covers on a semiregular basis, that's newsworthy -- at least by gossip column standards.
