FYI, CNN Presents will be running a documentary Sunday night about cheating in schools. My understanding is that a significant chunk of it will be based on my cheating stories from the last year. (If you see anything about cheating in Houston ISD or at Wesley Elementary, that’ll be mine.)

I’m off to St. Petersburg, eff-ell-ay, in the morning. Will return Sunday.

Er, forgive my ignorant comment above. I didn't realize you were investigating in Houston at all. The CNN show was pretty good at laying out the issues involved with testing. How do you feel about it in general? Is it impossible to avoid cheating when there is so much political pressure for students to score higher?

The most interesting thing was the fact that there was very little relationship between the TAKS scores and the SAT scores or how the students did in college.
